The announcement informed that the National Protective Security Authority (NPSA), working alongside the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and UK National Authority for Counter Eavesdropping (UK NACE), will develop security guidance for wider industry, as well as directly for security professionals.
The NPSA, as did the CPNI, will provide a wide range of UK businesses and other organisations with immediate access to expert security advice. They will remain the public facing protective security technical authority for the UK, providing advice, guidance, and training in all aspects of Protective Security. With the name change, the remit has increased, and areas covered by the NPSA will include research and academia, emerging technologies, public places, engineering, and manufacturing.
